Application
EPM chucks are designed to overcome the demerits of conventional chucks. Especially it is made for the milling operation.
Characteristics
- It requires External Power supply for energized and De-energized (ON-OFF) purpose only, during the operation (machining) power supply is not required absolutely.
- It gives rigid magnetic force, which corresponds to maximum DEPTH of CUT with accuracy.
- It is specially design to avoid mechanical clamping, which result into EASY and QUICK RELEASE of Work Piece from chuck surface.
- Five faces machining can be possible so that time can be saved and productivity can be increased.
- According to the work piece POLE GAP, POLE PITCH, POLE WIDTH, POLE STYLE can be defined.

- Seperation of pole: using Epoxy resin
- Conductor : Copper wire.
- Class of Insulation : H Class
- Winding Base - FRP Former
- Bounding : Epoxy potting
- It consist two different characteristics of permanent magnets.
- Operating Through : Operating Pendent.
Inspection
Inspection : Following test are applied to inspect a chuck:
- Resistant to Earth Terminal Test
- De-magnetizing Test
- Test of Pulling force.
